Description
A 20-year-old male was evaluated in an outpatient clinic for a two-day history of right eye redness, pain, tearing, and mild blurred vision. He reported improper contact lens use, including prolonged wear and rinsing lenses with tap water. Examination revealed conjunctival injection and a corneal epithelial defect on fluorescein staining, consistent with contact lens–associated bacterial keratitis. He was treated with topical antibiotic eye drops, instructed to discontinue contact lens use, and educated on proper lens hygiene to prevent complications and preserve vision.
